Benjamin Chance Kohler is the Deputy Director of Operations at the Law Firm. In 2005, Ben graduated from Goucher College in Baltimore, Maryland, with a Bachelor's Degree in Spanish. Upon graduation, Ben moved to Manuel Antonio, Costa Rica, where he attended the TEFL International program and received his certification to teach English as a Foreign Language.
While in Costa Rica, Ben worked as a Private Teacher, creating individualized lessons for a wide variety of local professionals, and also occasionally substitute taught at a local elementary school. Through these experiences Ben cultivated his capacity to connect and communicate with people from a wide variety of backgrounds. This provided a solid foundation for working in the field of immigration law. When he returned to the United States, Ben joined the Law Firm as a paralegal. In that position, he developed his knowledge of many immigration processes, and quickly moved into the position of paralegal in charge of special cases, where he further honed his skill-set by building cases to help immigrants overcome special circumstances. As a result of his capacity to handle various simultaneous tasks, his ability to create organizational systems, and his aptitude for creatively resolving complex problems, Ben moved into the role of Deputy Director of Operations, where he oversees the daily workings of the Law Firm to assure an efficient and pleasant environment for both clients and co-workers.
Ben was born and raised in Brunswick, Maine, and is a competent speaker of both the Spanish and Portuguese languages. In his free time, Ben enjoys reading and photography.
